EI: Feds Reduce Employment Insurance Waiting Time To One Week

As reported by the Chronicle Herald, the Federal Government has "cut the waiting period for employment insurance to one week".

The example provided by the Herald:

"a claimant who is laid off and subsequently finds work after 12 weeks can receive up to 11 weeks of EI benefits, whereas only up to 10 weeks were payable in the past"
