Media Relations Advisor for Province of Nova Scotia Marla MacInnis provided the following Englishtown ferry update:
The Englishtown Ferry will be out-of-service from Tuesday to Thursday to make improvements required by Transport Canada that will allow passengers to disembark the ferry to life rafts with more ease in the event of an emergency. We expect this work to be complete in time for the ferry to re-open for Easter weekend.
Further closures are anticipated later this spring to make adjustments to the ramps, improving boarding for campers and trucks ahead of tourism season.
