Dear Dr. Maroun:
On behalf of the Honourable Jody Wilson‑Raybould, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, I acknowledge receipt of your correspondence concerning Canada’s Equalization program.
Responsibility for this program rests with the Honourable Bill Morneau, Minister of Finance. I have therefore taken the liberty of forwarding a copy of your correspondence to Minister Morneau for his information and consideration.
Thank you for writing.
Yours sincerely,
M. Fortier

Dear M. Fortier:
The injustice that is happening to us in Cape Breton is the responsibility of the Justice Minister and not Bill Morneau. The Constitutional infringements of our rights is not the responsibility of the Finance Minister. The laws that are being broken here in this province are the responsibility of the Minister of Justice and that is who we want to speak to. This passing of the buck has to stop now! We will forward your comments to our social media platforms as well as the news agencies who are following this issue but we still need to speak to Jody Wilson-Raybould regarding the crimes against us by our own provincial government. This is 8 months now of emails, letters, etc and then this email today stating that you will pass the buck to someone in Ottawa who simply can not help us.
The Constitution of Canada, the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Canadian Human Rights act are all being abused by the Nova Scotia Provincial Government and the supreme law of Canada is being broken and Minister Wilson-Raybould needed to get involved as the Justice Minister on this issue. People by the thousands are protesting in the streets here because of this and we need help from Ottawa and we are getting this run around. Shame on our Federal Government.
Regards,
Dr. Rev. Albert Maroun &
