“Are you a handy person or in the business of fixing things? In partnership with the Clean Foundation, Innovacorp’s Nova Scotia Power Makerspace and New Dawn Ent. will be hosting a Fix-It Fair on Saturday, November 3, 2018 in the Nova Scotia Power Makerspace located at the New Dawn Centre for Social Innovation, 37 Nepean Street, Sydney. The event’s organizing committee is looking for individuals, businesses, and community agencies interested in setting up a vendor booth at the Fix-It Fair. Vendors will be asked to provide advice to event attendees looking to fix items such as small appliances, instruments, furniture (diverting them from landfills), how to make your home and lifestyle eco-friendlier, or the know-how to manage small house hold-repairs. The Fix-It Fair provides an opportunity for vendors to advertise their services and connect with potential customers. At the Fix-It Fair, event attendants will be invited to several workshops and demonstrations throughout the day. There is no fee to vendors to set up a booth, but vendor spaces are limited.
