Here is the 3rd attempt to contact Minister Fraser, the new Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada.
Father Maroun has a video message for the public below.
Thank you and here is the letter sent today.
Dear Minister Sean Fraser.
This is the third attempt at contacting you through your constituency office in New Glasgow. Over the years, we had no luck with contacting any Minister of Justice or Attorney General through the Minister’s office in Ottawa.
Minister Fraser, we have asked several times now for a quick meeting with you in your constituency office. This meeting is of utmost importance for all rural Nova Scotia and the CBRM.
Please Minister Fraser, I beg of you sir to just agree to meet and hear our concerns. Please give us that commitment and show Nova Scotians that democracy still exists in this country. Without this commitment and if you just ignore me and the NSEF, then we will know where we stand.
New Glasgow currently receives $1,055,434 in equalization but the town’s poor fiscal capacity alone is generating over $18,000,000. This is based on the Province of Nova Scotia and the Federal Government’s own numbers.
Please allow us the time to explain.
Regards,
Rev. Dr. Albert Maroun
