The Ruby Project (Accessible Theatre) presents the Sketch Comedy Workshop with Allison Kelly!
This workshop will take place via Zoom on Saturday, December 5th from 12:00 - 2:30pm ADT. Registration is completely free! Ages 16+. Priority will be given to Cape Breton artists, but the workshop is open to all artists and spots are limited. Fill out the linked registration form to reserve your spot!
Allison Moira Kelly is an actor and acting teacher from Gander, Newfoundland. She has a Masters in Fine Arts from York University. She performs with the classical theatre company Perchance Theatre, where she has played Masha (The Seagull), Portia (Julius Caesar), Eliza (Our Eliza), and many other roles. She has worked for The Resource Centre for the Arts Theatre, Rising Tide, Gros Morne Theatre, Mindless Theatrics, White Rooster, and more. She has played roles in Hudson & Rex, and most recently The Surrealtor. Allison is a sketch comedian who is a founding member of Mom's Girls, a sketch comedy troupe that has been performing in St. John's for three years. They recently had their children's tv show Tales from the Floordrobe picked up by a network. Allison also performs with the sketch troupe Halfhandsome, and was lucky enough to travel to Chicago with them to perform at the Chicago Sketch Fest. Allison teaches acting at Memorial University, Grenfell Campus.
