Frequently Asked Questions About Sydney RibFest 2018

With Rotary’s Sydney RibFest fast approaching, we know you must have lots of questons.

Hopefully you can find the answer you’re looking for here with these RibFest FAQ’s:

Is there a cost to enter the RibFest grounds?

There’s no cost of admission, but donations will be accepted at the door for Caleb's Courage and the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation’s Cancer Patient Care Fund.

I am a vendor and would like to have a table at the vendor village, how can I do this?

Although our vendor spaces are limited and already completely booked for this year, it would still be a good idea to touch base with our vendor coordinators. There may be additional opportunities, or at least might be good to touch base regarding next year’s event. Their email addresses are: [email protected] & [email protected]

Can I bring my pet(s) to RibFest?

No pets will be permitted on the Sydney RibFest grounds. This is by request of Nova Scotia Lands and only service animals with appropriate certification will be permitted inside the gates. Even though you can’t bring your furry friend, we would love to see you there!

Can I smoke at RibFest?
To allow all attendees a comfortable atmosphere, there will be no smoking on the Sydney RibFest grounds.

If it rains, will the event be cancelled/postponed?
This event is rain-or-shine. The safety of our guests is most important and if weather deteriorates severely, we will cancel or postpone particular portions, but we are hoping for sunny skies and lots of fun.

What time does the event start and finish on each day?
Rotary’s Sydney RibFest opens the gates at 11:00 a.am on Friday July 13, 14 and 15th and gates will close at 11:00 p.m. on the 13th and 14th and at 7:00 p.m. on the 15th.

What kind of entertainment will there be at RibFest this year?
