CODE: Debugging the Gender Gap + Women in Technology panel discussion
Exclusive screening of the award-winning documentary that looks at the cultural mindsets, stereotypes, educational hurdles, and sexism that all play a role in the gender gap in tech, and aims to inspire change in mindsets, in the educational system, in startup culture and in the way women see themselves in the field of coding.
Following the film we will have a panel discussion featuring Phyl Amerine of Startup Junkie Consulting in Arkansas; Rachael MacKeigan, UIT Startup Immersion graduate, developer, and coach for First Lego League; Janine Carroll of Ubique Networks; and NSCC IT program students Hayley Snow and Jody Poirier. This discussion will be moderated by Ardelle Reynolds, co-lead of Ladies Learning Code Sydney Chapter.

Jeff Amerine is our Global Advisor. He is one of the key leaders in the state of Arkansas and Northwest Arkansas region involved with the creation of a lasting tech-focused venture/startup ecosystem. He has held senior leadership positions in eight startup ventures and three Fortune 500 companies. In addition to drawing on his own experience and expertise, Jeff has built up an extensive network of mentors with a broad range of expertise, including: data analytics; cybersecurity; e-commerce; venture capital, private equity, and angel investment; software development; and supply chain. This is a great opportunity to get some meaningful feedback and build a relationship with this world-class startup mentor.
