HAT Holding General Auditions for 2020 Season Nov. 23-24

AUDITION CALL FOR MALE, FEMALE, & NON-BINARY ACTORS
(Ages 16 & Up with any level of experience)
On November 23rd & 24th, we will be hosting Auditions for anyone wishing to be considered for performing opportunities for the 2020 Season at the Highland Arts Theatre. This is a general call to gauge interest and meet people, call backs for specific shows may be scheduled at a later date on a case by case basis - and throughout the year for the 2020 Summer and Fall Seasons.

Anyone wishing to be considered for any of our 2020 Seasons should submit for consideration.
Interested persons can choose whether they would prefer an in person audition or a video audition. See below for both requirements.

AUDITION DATES: November 23rd & 24th, 2019 from 1:00PM to 5:00PM
DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: 11:59 PM on November 20th, 2019

PERFORMERS OF ALL CULTURAL BACKGROUNDS AND ETHNICITIES ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT.
Musicians and dancers are strongly encouraged to audition - no acting experience required. Please indicate in your submission if you play an instrument or have dance experience.

We have some new directors working with us this coming season and we encourage everyone who is interested to submit regardless of prior experience. Selected parties will be contacted directly for an initial audition and at a later date if invited for call backs for specific roles in specific shows.

CASTING IMMEDIATELY FOR THE FOLLOWING PRODUCTIONS:

THE DRAWER BOY (Jan 14-19)

AS YOU LIKE IT - (March 10-15)

A PUBLIC READING OF AN UNPRODUCED SCREENPLAY ABOUT THE DEATH OF WALT DISNEY (April 14-19)

THE CLOCKMAKER (May 12-17)

A TRIBUTE TO THE ROTARY SHOW (June 2-9)


IN YOUR SUBMISSION PLEASE INCLUDE:
1) Recent photo (professional quality not necessary)
2) Theatrical Resumé (if applicable - no experience required)

WHAT TO PREPARE - IN PERSON AUDITION:
If selected, you will be asked to prepare one Contemporary Monologue OR one Musical Theatre song from a show of your choice – pieces should be no more than 2 minutes. Feel free to bring an accompaniment track or sing acapella (speaker will be provided).

WHAT TO PREPARE - VIDEO AUDITION:
If you choose to submit a video audition, please prepare one Contemporary Monologue OR one Musical Theatre song from a show of your choice – pieces should be no more than 2 minutes. Please use a karaoke track or piano accompaniment in your video (if possible).
