It is said that in a marathon, the last leg of the race is the most difficult. That’s why it is important to continue the race with determination and confidence.  

For Hospice Cape Breton, seeing the completion of the community’s new Hospice has been like a marathon—one over 30 years in the making.  

Hospice Cape Breton works with the Palliative Care Service to help provide end-of-life care. We have done so for over three decades, helping individuals and families make the most of every precious moment at home, in the An Cala Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, and soon, in the community’s new Hospice.

We are in the final stages of fundraising for the Hospice. Our community has made it possible for us to get this far—now we need your help to cross the finish line. We hope to welcome patients and their families later this fall.
