The Cape Breton Highlanders professional basketball team continue to bolster their roster with the signing of 25-year-old Aaron Redpath, a 6’5” Guard from Ajax, Ontario.
Redpath was a member of the Saint John Riptide last year, where he averaged 7 points and 2 assists off the bench, playing 20 minutes a night in 43 games. He has also played internationally and at McMaster University.
Redpath adds play-making and 3-point shooting to the Highlanders roster.
Signed players compete for a final spot on the team roster during the Highlanders training camp in October. NBL teams are allowed to have a roster of up to 12 active players and up to 3 inactive players. Players may be deemed inactive if they are injured, held in reserve, or needed for roster adjustments. This provides teams with the flexibility to adjust their rosters for planned or unforeseen events.
