The Cape Breton Highlanders professional basketball team is pleased to announce the signing of Chadrack Lufile (pictured above).
Lufile is a 6.9”, 265lbs power forward who played at Wichita State University, an NCAA Division I school, where he averaged 5.86 points and 4.9 rebounds in his senior year. He also played professionally in the NBA Development League.
President and General Manager, Tyrone Levingston said, “Signing Chadrack is a huge step forward for our team as we prepare for our inaugural season. He has NBA size and high skillset that any basketball personnel would love to work with.”
Lufile is a household name around Cape Breton. Chadrack is the older brother of Meshack Lufile, who played five seasons with Cape Breton University, including winning the Atlantic University Sports championship with fellow Capers and newly-signed Highlanders Jimmy Dorsey and Shaquille Keith.
You can watch the Highlanders first game on Tuesday, December 27th at Centre 200 where they will face off against the Halifax Hurricanes. Season tickets are on sale now at Centre 200.
