The Nova Scotia PC leadership race has ended with Tim Houston becoming the new party leader. After a dominant first ballot, Houston was only 55 votes away from winning the majority of support among members. Given the unlikely statistical pathway for other candidates winning on later ballot support, Cecil Clarke and other candidates conceded to Houston.
After the first ballot Houston was the first choice of 2,496 members with Cecil Clarke a distant second place with 1,385 supporters on the preferential ballot.
This appears to be done. All campaigns say they're standing down in favour of @TimHoustonNS #NSpoli
