Is this proper?

How do the tax payers feel about these events.? Mayoralty canidate Rankin Mac Sween is holding campaign meeting at various fire stations/ halls in the CBRM. Is this permissable? These are emergency service centers are they not. What if a emergency happens, how is it to be handled with the hall already in use? I have email the present mayor for a ruling on this ...no reply. I have also email the legal dept....also no reply. Is thiswhat we can expect from someone running for the position of mayor.

Well Barry, I think you need to put your energy and worry about things that are important, just my opinion.

Many volunteer fire halls serve double duty as community meeting places to some degree—maybe in large part because we don't provide enough support and they are always fundraising. It seems to be very common. I've never contemplated how a full lot of visitors could impact a call. How common is it? I recall many of different stripes doing similar. Didn't Andrew Scheer also have a campaign event at one of the local fire stations too? TBD.
