Is your family from Marion Bridge, Gabarus or Louisbourg?

I have a lot of information on many of the early settlers from England and Scotland to the area. Some of the major lines I have researched are Bagnell, Cann, Gibbs, MacDonald, Morrison, Ormiston, Stacey, Hardy, Lorway, Nicoll, Tutty, Grant, Townsend, Sutherland along with other intersecting lines to these families. I am happy to answer questions and see if I can help tear down any brick walls.

Some of the families you mention are from New England. I.e. United Empire Loyalists. At least one anyway: Lorway. A fair number of Loyalists ended up in Cape Breton, including the ex-Mayors of Albany and New York City. It's a fascinating story - perhaps the largest mass migration in North American history. And some of those who landed here were involved in a half-baked plot to assassinate George Washington. (No Lorways were involved to my knowledge!)
