The Cape Breton Mesonet compiled a list of the high temperatures across all stations in Cape Breton for Tuesday, July 3rd. For most it was, not surprisingly, the warmest day of the year. For Sydney Mines, it was the first time the temperature reached above 30 degrees since August 2015.

There was a gap of more than 12 degrees between the highest temperature in River Denys (32.3) and the lowest in Louisbourg (20.1).
