So I hear a lot of people are going to be going down to The Big Fiddle tomorrow to ride a Ferris wheel. When I was a kid, I felt like Ferris wheels were roller coasters on cold medication, or picnic tables on cruise control. Now that I'm older, I can see the appeal, and I'll be standing in that line tomorrow night not entirely sober.
In preparation for the big New Year's Eve Bash, the Sydney Waterfront District Association has installed a number of local art displays in storefronts on Charlotte Street. The idea being that it's a good idea, because art is better than no art. There's also going to be carriage rides up and down Charlotte Street, and they're going for more of a Madison Avenue than Detroit vibe. Here are some pictures I took on my way to pick up a donair from Alexandra's.

I've been to the Forbidden Palace. It is exactly like this.

Also, if you're taking a stroll down Charlotte Street, you'll notice that Spinners has a new neighbor.

And they have fudge!
And if anybody was wondering about the donair I picked up, and I know you were, Wednesday's are donair day at Alexandra's (formerly Island Greek Donaire) when you can pick up this beast for $4.60.
The Mass to Cash ratio on this thing makes it questionable.... Questionably Awesome!
Sidenote: Eating that donair at your desk is ill-advised, unless you're a culinary structural engineer. I got donair sauce on my phone taking this picture, so you're welcome.
