Look out this spring for a large mobile Art Gallery!

Driftwood Gallery is run by local artist Sara Lamond, who produces contemporary abstract art, and also a line of wearable art - clothing and accessories made with fabrics in unique patterns created using her paintings.

Sara has been showing up at local markets for the last 2 years, since returning home to Cape Breton in October of 2021.  Thanks in particular to the cruise ship traffic, she now has artwork placed in private collections on 5 continents.

Not content to sit still at a market table, Sara made the decision in the fall of 2023 to search for a suitable vehicle to house a mobile gallery / shop.  Searching far and wide, she finally located a great candidate - a 31ft Winnebago.  With plans to partially gut and renovate the inside of the motor home for displays of art, clothing and accessories, she is also searching for suitable parking spaces / venues who would be interested in hosting an art gallery for a day.

"I anticipate starting to venture out with the mobile gallery in April of 2024 - assuming all the snow has melted by then! 

I will be carrying a curated collection of my original artworks and giclee reproductions,

as well as clothing to fit Regular sizes X-Small to X-Large, and Plus sizes 1-3X."
