Looking for Volunteers

The Cape Breton Miners Museum is reaching out to the community in hopes to find some volunteers for the 2017 season. We are currently looking for volunteers to guide visitors, from all over the World, throughout our Miners Village which includes the Company Store and Company House. These buildings represent the living conditions for miners and their families from the 1850s to the 1950s. Volunteers will be provided with information on both the Company Store and Company house, as well as be paired up with experienced volunteers during the new volunteers first few shifts to ease into the process.

We are open from 10am to 6pm, seven days a week during the tourist season. We schedule volunteers in during 3 different shifts each day; 10am to 1pm, 1pm to 3pm, and 3pm to 6pm. There is no minimum or maximum amount of shifts a volunteer can work. It is solely up to the volunteer.

If you are interested in volunteering with the Miners Museum, please reach out to us at minersmuseum.com or call David Williams, Volunteer Coordinator, at 902-849-8195.
