Canadian Baseball Hall of Famer, Matt Stairs was an integral member of the 2008 World Series Championship Phillies; holds the record for the most pinch-hit homeruns in Major League Baseball (MLB) history at 23. Made his pro debut with the Expos, has played with 13 MLB teams, including the Jays and Nationals.
Stairs was born in Saint John, N.B., and has had a long illustrious career as a player, coach and colour commentator in Major League Baseball, he is a Canadian Olympian, and is an equally gifted hockey player. Matt Stairs now calls Fredericton home and will be travelling within the Atlantic bubble to attend Saturday’s Hawks Dream Field Corporate Dinner and Auction.
The covid ruled event, will be held at the recently renovated and spacious Dominion Legion.
