I am a long time resident of Tobin Road and am running for councilor in District 1 .
I have been active in my community my whole life . First as a little league coach in the former County Minor Baseball program for 17 years.
I've been President of the Gannon Road support group , helped spearhead the construction of the Gannon Road Ballfield, past president of Our Lady of Sorrow parish society, along with many volunteer community events.
I have been a postal worker now for 30 years and have been the local president of Breton 117 , the last 14 years. I am past president of the Cape Breton District labor Council and an executive VP representing postal workers with the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour.
I'm not afraid to speak up for what's right , and really want to be a voice for those I would represent .
If elected , I will First, listen to the voters and carry their message to council , if that's the will of the district.
I believe I am very in tune with what's happening in the CBRM and specifically District 1, and I am willing to work with all the elected politicians .
