NASA’s Aqua satellite obtained an interesting view of the Maritimes yesterday afternoon. The image highlights the extent of the open fetch across the Gulf of St. Lawrence that allows winds to pick up moisture and drop it as snow in the Cape Breton Highlands, while missing mainland Nova Scotia completely.
