New Dawn Meals on Wheels is a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organization that has been serving Sydney and surrounding areas including Sydney River, Coxheath, Westmount, Ashby and Whitney Pier since 1972.

MOW provides hot, nutritious meals to vulnerable members of the community who are not able to prepare meals for themselves. This includes the elderly, convalescent, disabled, special needs, chronically or terminally ill and people living with addictions or mental health issues, although the majority of our clients are seniors.

The meals are prepared by local, licenced vendors and delivered twice daily, Monday through Friday at the very affordable price of $6.50 per meal.

New Dawn Meals on Wheels is an important part of the network of services that enables people in our community to live healthy, independent lives in their own homes, in other words, to age in place. Last year, we served approximately 7,600 meals to over 130 clients in the Sydney area and over 40,000 meals in the past 5 years!!
