New Waterford Man Cleans Up Trash At Local Walking Track

This weekend, Elvis Reid was inspired to join community clean-up efforts in the CBRM. On Saturday, he cleaned up the fenceline at the MacKinnon Soccer Field and Walking Track in New Waterford. In just about an hour, working by himself, he collected four large bags of litter that had accumulated over the winter. The Cape Breton Environmental Association expressed their appreciation for Reid's effort and shared his clean up photos on their Facebook page.

With the winter snow gone now, the CBEA has renewed their clean up efforts. The group recently collected 35 bags of trash along a roadside in Sydney.
