PHD Researchers vs. Elected Officials - who would you trust with your life (our your kid's life)?
Let's look at 2 quick and simple facts
FACT #1
PHD researchers do the research and determine that Off-Road vehicles should not be driven on dirt or paved roads: RESEARCH HERE
FACT #2
Elected Officials create policies (Road Trails Act) that lead people to believe that ATVs are indeed safe on paved/unpaved roads (they are not) and Nova Scotians die on paved and unpaved roads constantly! The following 2 deaths were just this weekend.
So all of this is just fact and meant to emphasize that elected officials have a legal 'Duty Of Care" responsibility to the public and should be doing due diligence in making decisions like the Roads Trail Act. Manufacturers of ATVs say "do not use on roadways", doctors and PHD researchers say "do not use on roadways" and data on the deaths of ATV riders on roadways in Nova Scotia is the proof that they are all correct. So why are elected officials promoting the use of ATVs on roadways? Anyone?
