The Cape Breton Regional Municipality has announced that the construction work for the Phase 2 upgrades on Charlotte Street will commence on Monday, May 15.

Please be aware that Charlotte Street, from Pitt Street to Wentworth Street, will be closed to vehicular traffic for approximately 20 weeks.

The Prince Street intersection will remain open during the construction period. However, please note that there might be temporary disruptions. We will make every effort to minimize these interruptions wherever possible.

Starting on Monday, the Brilun Construction team will be on site, installing safety fencing and mobilizing materials and equipment to prepare for the upgrades. During the construction, there may be occasional water and power disruptions. To minimize any inconvenience, the CBRM will provide residents with a minimum of 72 hours' notice whenever possible.
