If you didn't know already, Protocase's customer list is stacked with companies making incredible strides in innovation and developing new products. (Hello SpaceX, Honeybee Robotics, Boeing, NASA, Tesla and L3 Communications, to name a few!). We love hearing about our customers' innovative products and breakthroughs, no matter where they are located in the world.

This week, we heard about an exciting launch from a customer that just happens to be local to Nova Scotia, SURU Cycles. Based out of Hubbards, NS, SURU Cycles are a new spin (see what I did there?) on long-range, comfortable e-bikes. Motorcycle industry veteran Michael Uhlarik used his 16 years' experience designing production motorcyles for brands like Yamaha and Bombardier, and created a lightweight, yet robust, design that is unlike any other on the market. With 50 km of all-electric range, SURU is the only e-bike in the world with DOT certified tires, wheels and lights for comfort and safety.

Every single part of the SURU Cycles e-bike is made in Canada. Protocase manufactures the panels for the SURU Aluminum Monocoque (SAF), right here in Cape Breton in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
