Cape Breton champion boxer Ryan Rozicki has a 10-0 professional record with all wins by knock out. He currently holds the NABA Canadian Cruiserweight title and the WBO International Silver Cruiserweight title.
His next fight on September 7th is against Khetag Pliev, a mixed martial artist who competes in multiple fight disciplines in addition to boxing. He's undefeated in boxing with a 5-0 record.
In the Three Lions Productions promotional video for the fight, one member of Pliev's training team is confident that he can not only win but also knock out Rozicki within three rounds.
Rozicki, known as The Bruiser in the ring, sees parallels between himself and Pliev.
"I think he has nothing else besides fighting, just like myself. He's either going to have to knock me out cold, or I'm going to knock him out cold. That's the only way this is going down."
Pliev emphasized his training with top-tier MMA fighters and suggested that Rozicki "has a chance to win the fight" as any fighter always has at least a chance. He'll likely be the strongest, most durable opponent Rozicki has faced to date, despite not being exclusive to boxing.
