Today, local champion boxer Ryan Rozicki said via Facebook that an announcement is pending for his boxing career, calling it a "huge step forward".

A scheduled bout for October 5th at Centre 200 has been cancelled. On June 29th, Rozicki described a training change to his Facebook fans. His former coach made the call to withdraw from the October card. Some differences in preferred direction lead to a separation of the team. Rozicki is interested in pursuing offers for Montreal-based training camps that would better prepare him for future fights.

In the last few days, Rozicki has had training on his mind. His Facebook page shows him working on his jab, discussing a "head body" technique he picked up studying fight tape of 1950's boxer Henry Hank, and a technique he feels comfortable with planting his heels when throwing heavy KO-powered punches. Rozicki is known for knockout power to the body.
