Thanks to everyone who tuned into the roundtable. I wrote a post fact checking some of the statements made, Lorne Green suggested all 3 other Candidates were suggesting tax increases which none of us did. He boasted proudly about the very 5% tax cut that Minister of Municipalities John Lohr was so upset over he wrote to CB Post more than once, the same tax cut that benefited big corporations far more than the average citizen, the same tax cut that required rejecting using the $15mil top up for our roads and the library, system modernization, and operational deficit, and still had room for a 1.5% across-the-board cut. Since Council voted without all the information necessary to make good governance decisions, we saw a 3.5% increase the following year. 5 - 3.5 = 1.5.
