Watching this library thing for 15 years has been fascinating.It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that a new library is wanted by many and needed.My baby barn would be better than the current facility.Also a little education out to the public about the fact that a library is just not about books anymore is required.Just look at several new ones built over the past several years on the mainland promoting:books,computers,computer training,lectures,meetings,entertainment,cultural events and on and on....real social centers. Having said all that its easy to see the last few administrations burned all bridges with our bankers in Halifax and Ottawa so that needs work.Also there seems to be something fishy about the discussions/back room stuff.Eldon is always the loudest voice in the room and I realize it's his district but this thing gotta serve all CBRM and there is just no parking downtown.As far as the Court House,renovating is not a good idea but tearing it down and starting from scratch is.Good laurd,if Hollywood producers were scouting North America for a place to shoot a library scene Wentworth Park would be on top of the list.
