Lately, all Councillor MacDonald and I have been doing is grumbling at one another, but once again I agree with his concern. The community needs to be aware of any threats to their safety. And, certainly, CBRM mayor and councillors should be kept up to date (immediately) when serious incidents like this occur. We elected them, thus, we have given them enough of our confidence to allow them to decide how they want to disseminate that information. There is a very serious uptick in violent crime that seems associated with criminal enterprises and beyond just individual acts of violence. We need to know what is happening and not allow it to escalate further.
