A winter storm expected to blanket Nova Scotia with snow has prompted travel advisories and cancellations across the the Maritimes. 

Ferries travelling to Newfoundland from Sydney have been cancelled. The ferries headed from P.E.I. to Nova Scotia have also been cancelled.

WestJet provided travel advisories for flights scheduled on Friday and Saturday at Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Air Canada says flights "may be impacted by…
