Dear Editor,
    Many Canadians may be unaware that the Israel state has long supported the existence of Hamas through Qatari intermediaries who provide shelter and funding. This cynical hypocrisy has allowed the survival of Hamas and given Israel an excuse to regularly attack Gaza with disproportionate force, killing mostly civilians in their attempt to “destroy” Hamas.
