Second Wind Community Band Concert Celebrates 30 Years June 20th

This event has ended Date:
Time: -

Tuesday, June 20th at 7:30 pm, just hours before the summer solstice arrives, the Second Wind Community Band celebrates the end of their 30th season with a show at the Boardmore Playhouse

Cheers to 30 Years will also celebrate the Good Old Days to come with special guest singer-songwriter Jordan Musycsyn and guest violinist Dr. Meaghan Keating. The band always loves to have singer Linda Muise join them on a number or two and they
will welcome back Laurie Murchison as their host for the evening. There may be a surprise performance or two as well!

The band has a diverse range of ages in the band from 15 to 80 “something!!” This year the band also celebrates five graduates from high school who will be featured throughout the show. Can’t miss the wonderful talents of our young people... some of whom are going on to study music.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for kids and students. They are available down at the Cape Breton Curiosity Shop on Charlotte Street or from any band member or by contacting [email protected]

You’ll be able to also catch the band playing down at the Wentworth Park Bandshell on Thursday, June 22nd starting at 6:30 p.m. to help kick off the summer fun and Makin’ Waves in Sydney. Bring your lawn chairs!

Hope to see you out at the Boardmore on Tuesday, June 20th at 7:30 p.m. to welcome the coming of summer. Doors open at 7pm.
