The Suomi NPP satellite imagery picked up forest fire smoke from BC passing over Alberta and Saskatchewan on 15 August 2018 heading our way.  It was difficult to track visually with our cloud cover as it came towards us. 

However, NASA’s satellites tracking fine particulate dust particles associated with the smoke in the atmosphere yesterday noted the plume was over us and extended well out over the North Atlantic.
