Spotted today, this Luna Moth was hanging out on a doorway at the Mayflower Mall. Though they are found throughout the United States and Canada, this is the first of this species that I've seen here in Cape Breton. The vibrant colour really jumps out.

Apparently the adult lives for only about 1 week, has no mouth, and cannot eat. It's entire adult mission is to reproduce.
