We are looking for energetic and friendly staff to contribute to summer fun at our tourist destination.

Hiring - Assistant Manager

With assisted funding from the N.S. Student Summer Skills Incentive program (SKILL), we are accepting resumes for the position of Assistant Manager. Applicant must be entering or currently enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program.
Approx. starting date: May 26th. 2025

Responsibilities:
- The Assistant Manager will assist operations manager with clerical duties as required and provide a supervisory role when necessary.
- Duties will include (but not limited to): Assisting with staff scheduling and providing replacement role on off days
- Assist with making and distributing promotional material
- Assist cafe manager with menu planning and updating point of sale equipment
- Assist with all waterfront activities and fundraising events and provide support when required for cafe operations
- Assist with coordinating vendors, entertainment and other logistic arrangements.
- Assist with preparing site for seasonal startup and report directly to operations manager.

Qualifications:
- Applicant must be self-motivated, organized, have good communication skills and a keen interest in business management.
- Applicant must be entering or currently enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program.
- The student must be a permanent resident of the province or live in Nova Scotia for at least six months prior to the work term. Note: This requirement can be waived for international students who plan to stay in Nova Scotia after the work term.

Hiring - Cooks 

We are hiring cooks and servers for the 2025 summer season. All ages may apply. Must be available to work weekends.

Cook Job Description:
- Prepare required food ingredients.
- Cook and prepare menu items.
- Ensure presentation of menu items are of high standard.
- Keep sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
- Check quality of ingredients.
- Monitor stock and alert head cook of shortages.
- Ensure all dishes, pots, pans, utensils are kept clean.

Qualifications: Experience as a cook, ability to follow sanitation procedures, ability to work as a team, very good communication skills, high school diploma, food handling certificate.
