Sydney Academy lockdown over

Cape Breton Regional Police are reporting that Sydney Academy is in lockdown this morning.

Police received a weapons complaint early this morning. One student was placed in a police vehicle that left the scene.

Update: The student placed in the police vehicle was for an unrelated matter.

As of 1:00pm, students were released from lockdown. Sent home for the day.
