Collectively called the Ports of Sydney, the facilities within the Sydney Harbour are located along the six kilometer “Y” shaped waterway that is

used for shipping activities and offers a protected harbour, ice free with unrestricted access.

The Sydney Marine Terminal is a destination for more than 40 cruise ships each year and, with other harbour facilities, handles fuel for the

entire Cape Breton Island.

At the Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion passengers are greeted by the world`s largest fiddle; a symbol of Cape Breton Island`s cultural heritage.

The newly constructed cruise pavilion is also a multi-use venue for meetings, concert performances, conventions, tradeshows, weddings and

much more.
