Local Tax Preparation office is allowing taxpayers to simply drop off their paperwork and pick it up once it is processed and ready to file.

CH Accounting & Tax Services on Pond Road in Sydney Mines is asking all customers to simply drop off their tax paperwork, rather than sit down in the office. The process is fast, and easy for taxpayers - allowing them to not spend any significant amount of time in the office. Owner and tax professional Candi Hallstrom changed her regular process in response to the COVID-19 concerns expressed by Premier Trudeau yesterday.

Candi said the preventative measures are to protect the health of her staff and clients, "Our customers prefer our individual attention, and they will continue to get that, just in another way. We are making these changes temporarily, in order to comply with requests from the Premier and the Nova Scotia Health Authority."

Candi has many concerns about how all of the limitations and shutdowns will affect the small business community but says she understands safety has to come first right now.
