Two years ago, New York developer Joseph Balaz announced his plans to turn Cape Smokey in the Cape Breton Highlands into a year-round destination, and it is now coming together.

Starting mid week next week, you will be able to take the new gondola for a ride to the top of Cape Smokey. It’s the first part in an ambitious plan to transform the area into a tourist's dream.
