Cape Breton Port-Gate Information War Update: Mary P. Campbell - 3 C.B. Monied Elites - 0 There's been a bit of an information war going on in Cape Breton, since Mary P. Campbell wrote a great piece for the C.B. Post. I've not met a single person yet who is not shocked that the people at the C. B. Post had the audacity to print the truth which puts many local elites in a very unflattering light. The truth sometimes hurts. However, outing corruption is the only way to stop it. Some people are putting out sound and relevant information on the topic of 'the port scandals', in a factual, logical and historical fashion, and are being bashed for being 'negative'. Outing corruption and misappropriation of YOUR money, is positive. Others are spewing rhetoric and nonsense, as truth. Again. When people who benefit from corruption and misappropriation of YOUR tax dollars, defend their actions, it rings hollow to me. When people have nothing to gain, and everything to lose, by telling you the truth, you should probably listen to them Kudos to Mary P. Campbell! She is one brave Cape Bretoner.
