On August 31, 2021 during the Gala event for the 2021 Cape Breton Business and Philanthropy Hall of Fame, Brian Shebib was formally inducted into the Business Hall of Fame and Annette Verschuren was inducted into the Philanthropy Hall of Fame.

The Gala was hosted by the Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce at Sacred Heart Downtown in Sydney’s historic North End.
