Cape Breton Island is known for its rich culture and its deep roots in music, so every Monday I will feature videos showcasing Cape Breton Island's finest musicians from Fiddlers to Songwriters, to the Gaelic Song and the Rock n Roll!  

Mr. Crowes Garden

Rock band mcg, initially Mr. Crowes' Garden, emerged out of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada in early 1997. The mainstay line up of mcg has been Glen McPhee on vocals, Chris O'Keefe on guitar, Kent MacLeod on bass and Neal Hiscott on drums. The four have known each other and played together since high school.

mcg then entered the studio in 2001 to record their debut album, "Second First Impressions", however the album release was put on hold, while the members of mcg took a hiatus from music to pursue other interests.

"Second First Impressions" was revisited by the members of mcg in the Summer of 2008 and released online in early 2009. (https://www.reverbnation.com/mcgmusic)
