Hello NSEF Supporters:
Well it is that time again. We are asking all of you to join us in another protest on Wednesday, June 27th or Thursday, June 28th (if Wednesday is a rain day) in front of the Provincial Building on Prince Street between 4:00pm and 5:30pm. The MLA’s and politicians are refusing to talk to us and we need them to hear us loud and clear. This will be the last protest before we start protesting in front of all MLA’s and MP’s offices on the Island. The government is simply waiting for us to just go away and they need to see that we are growing in numbers so maybe they will start to take us seriously.
We have been provided with studies from over 10 years ago regarding the failing economic situation here in Cape Breton. The Provincial Government is surely planning the decline of Cape Breton Island and it is time we stand up to them and stop this NOW!!!! Please invite your friends, children and neighbors to join us at this protest and help send a clear message to the Provincial Government. We cannot just sit back and watch this decline any further and we need to act soon. It has become apparent to us that the Provincial and Federal governments are not willing to even hear our complaints on this issue so we will be forced to escalate our actions.
There are ways we can all help to keep the pressure on. W5 is constantly being contacted about covering this story. The more requests they get the better for us. We have included the info for you to also contact them when you have time. You can submit your story idea by e-mail to [email protected]. We recommend that you put IDEA at the start of your subject line so they can easily identify your e-mail. If you prefer to write them, the address is: W5, CTV P.O. Box 9, Station "O" Toronto, Ontario M4A 2M9.
Thank you to all of you who are helping to save our beautiful island from our own government. The calls you are making and the protests you are attending is making a difference for our future. Thank you again.
Regards,
