Yurchesyn Stepping Down as CEO of CBR Chamber of Commerce

Today, the Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce announced that, effective December 31, 2021, Kathleen Yurchesyn will complete her employment as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Chamber. Ms. Yurchesyn has been the CEO for the Chamber since March 2018.

“Over the last four years, Kathleen has effected positive change within the Chamber to include membership growth and the launch of a new strategic brand,” stated Chamber Chair, Sean MacDonald. “On behalf of the board and membership, we wish her well in her future endeavours as she enters employment in the private sector,” added MacDonald.

“The experience of overseeing this organization and watching it grow and evolve over the years, has been incredibly fulfilling and I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to work with and for the incredible business community in the CBRM,” says Yurchesyn. “I have the utmost
confidence that the momentum and growth of the organization will only continue, and I am genuinely excited to watch the next CEO build upon this solid foundation.”

The Chamber will immediately begin the search for a new CEO with a continued focus on the growth and development of the organization to support the needs of its membership now and into the future.
