CBRM District 5: Nigel Kearns' Election Platform [WEBSITE]

Hello residents of District 5 and the CBRM. My name is Nigel Kearns and I am very excited to be running in this election as your candidate for councilor of District 5. Those of you who know me also know my involvement and dedication towards our community. You are also aware of my work ethic, transparency, and capability to get things done.

"I believe that we the citizens of District 5 (and all of the CBRM) need to turn things around for ourselves. This requires a joint effort by means of a strong and open working relationship between residents and council. Please review my website to learn more of my platform and vision that will take us from where we are today and lead us to a vibrant and energized community tomorrow"

This community never fails to amaze and inspire.  It is my promise to expose our greatness, to continue to support activities that raise this community and focus on creating a sustainable government that is accountable to the shareholders; the residents of District 5 and the CBRM.  In October, please vote for me and allow me the opportunity to do just that.

What we need in Cape Breton is new people and new ideas and new money We need all the immigrants we can get. We need to get to basics and use what we got first. Not only are we one of the most beautiful places in the world we are one of the safest. this should be a huge selling feature in a continually more dangerous world. We have clean air (which somebody should be selling) and clean water we are almost disaster proof and the most livable to lastly feel the effects of global warming. With this we have a low crime rate. I am not a golfer but we should push Cape Breton as a bucket list golf destination to the limit. Apparently we need more workers caddies etc. As with some Cape Breton resorts like Baddeck there is a problem finding workers summer students etc. places to live. Sydney must work harder to entertain our cruiseship visitors. On sundays most stores are closed. there is not much for them to do or see here without bussing to Baddeck or Louisbourg.
