#22aday A single number has shaped the way we think about young military veterans. An estimated 22 veterans take their own lives every day. This number has become a rallying cry for advocates trying to call attention to suicide among veterans. It's no coincidence that the first word in our song "Broken Soldier" is the number 22.
On Remembrance Day, we honour not only those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom but also those who returned home "broken".
Let us have compassion, let us have understanding, and let us make them whole again.
