The Cape Breton Highlanders professional basketball team has announced changes to the team roster:
Clinton Springer, a 6'4' guard/forward from London, ON, has been activated and will arrive in Cape Breton tonight. Springer was acquired from the Windsor Express in late February for Shaquille Keith in a trade announced here, but was temporarily placed on inactive reserve.
Tyrel Edwards, a 6'6" small forward from Hamilton, ON has been released. Edwards joined the team in mid January. President and General Manager, Tyrone Levingston said, "We are thankful to Tyrel for coming in and contributing to our team during his time with us. We wish him well in continuing to pursue his basketball career."
The next Highlanders home game at Centre 200 is Sunday, March 12 at 3pm versus the Moncton Miracles.
